Well after my teaser the other week I thought I should fill in a few details about our upcoming African adventures.
We’re stopping overnight in Mauritius on the way, no time to see anything at this point apart from our hotel room… Flights just didn’t work to head straight to J’burg given that we need to go via Mauritius as this the becomes our last stop on the way home. Of well, we get a heads up on what to expect on our way back. Not staying at the same place though, have booked a room at 3D’s International Tourist Home for this stopover. Handy to the airport, no frills needed just somewhere to sleep.
After that it’s on Johannesburg before catching our connecting flight to Nelspruit and then driving to Simbambili Game Lodge. We’re here for 4 days, this is ideal length of time, so we’re told, to stay at a game lodge. From here we hope to see the Big 4 and get some amazing photos. Remember the only shooting you should do in Africa now is with a camera!
After that we head to Summerfields Rose Retreat, this is the launch point for our hot air balloon ride over Kruger National Park. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate Helen’s 50th birthday than a hot air balloon ride over the African bush. Then it’s back to the airport for our flight to Johannesburg and on then to Mauritius.
Our final stop is at the Paradis Hotel & Gold Club back in tropical Mauritius. This stop is to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary, should be a magical time.. We’ve got a beach front villa booked here. After the African bush it will be nice to relax on the beach or chill by the pool.
